Sales Manager for EMEA (Europe – Middle-East – Africa)

Job Description and Responsibilities
– Manage all EMEA distributors and sales activities
– Develop new commercial business and expand existing business and distribution channels
– Conduct comprehensive market analysis and identify new business opportunities

Engineering Project Manager

NUBURU Inc. is looking for a highly motivated technical leader with project management skills to join our dynamic engineering team and develop the next generation of laser engines for our high-power industrial laser systems. The successful candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
– Very strong technical background required, with experience in developing industrial systems (high power opto electronics strongly preferred)
– Strong knowledge of automated assembly processes and volume manufacturing of high-technology complex devices
– Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects for new product introduction
– Experience in developing and implementing project plans, ability to develop and maintain project schedule
– Experience with coordinating a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians, including proven ability to coordinate outside partners, subcontractors, consultants

Key responsibilities related to this position are as follows:
– Develop overall project plan for the development of high-power laser sources based on target performance. Coordinate goals, milestones and deliverables with engineering, manufacturing and marketing teams
– Lead development of technical plans for design phase (including verification/validation plan, qualification plan, reliability plan)
– Participate in system level data analysis, ensure all necessary data is collected per plans, and verify project requirements are met
– Translate overall project plan into detailed  project schedule. Track progress of project against schedule and ensure project milestones are met
– Coordinate activities of external partners and subcontractors involved in the project. Ensure that information circulates efficiently between all parties, host periodic follow-up meetings

Engineering Technician

General Job Description
The Engineering Technician normally work in conjunction with Engineering and Production to develop and implement new products, assembly and test equipment, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The Technician assists Engineering to evaluate and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls to improve cost, efficiency, quality, output and to establish manufacturing documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties
– Assist Engineering with the development of new products, equipment and processes
– Assemble and qualify new assembly and test equipment and fixtures
– Assemble and test new product prototypes
– Test and Implement improvements to new and existing products and processes
– Assist with the review of new production/process data to identify performance & reliability issues
– Perform component/product inspection and testing
– Assist to investigate failure root cause and initiate corrective action to design issues
– Develop new detailed process flow diagrams including time standards for assembly and test ops
– Assist to evaluate new equipment and facilities requirements and preparing production cost estimates
– Support new product ECOs with documentation, fixtures, tooling and equipment requirement
– Participate in manufacturing readiness reviews
– Help Mfg. Engineering to train production personnel on new assembly processes, test and-  safety procedures
Assist Mfg. Engineering to prepare new production work instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
– Associates degree in Engineering Technology

Mechanical Engineer

The engineer will be part of a dynamic team and work on cutting-edge laser technology for exciting applications. The successful candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
– Experience with packaging of opto-electronics components and assemblies, design and test of hermetic packages (experience with design of packages for laser assemblies is preferred)
– High level of competency with mechanical design (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
– Experience with machining, sheet metal processing, and metal finishing processes
– Experience with cleaning technologies is a plus
– Ability to develop assembly procedures and tooling
– Strong ability to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team and coordinate with optical, electrical and other engineering disciplines

– High level of competency with modeling of optical systems (Zemax highly preferred)
– Experience with lasers, preferably laser diodes
– Ability to develop optical alignment tooling and procedures
– Experience with testing and qualifying optical performance of the optical assemblies
– Experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW is a plus
– Good verbal and written communication skills

Process Engineer

NUBURU Inc. is looking for a highly motivated process development engineer to join our engineering team and develop the next generation of laser engines for our high-power industrial laser systems. The engineer will be part of a dynamic team and work on cutting-edge laser technology for exciting applications. The successful candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
– Demonstrated experience of process automation and process optimization
– Experience with automated alignment processes, like pick-and-place robotic equipment, preferably for optical or semiconductor components
– Ability to develop data collection and database interface and integration into manufacturing execution system
– Experience with LabVIEW, SQL databases and MATLAB is a plus
– Good verbal and written communication skills
Key responsibilities related to this position are as follows:
– Define and understand system level requirements by interacting with the engineering and manufacturing teams
– Translate these into process requirements and develop related project documentation
– Develop automated alignment processes for new products based on requirements
– Define and support development of tooling required to implement these processes, including assembly stations that combine precise, repeatable component placement, active alignment and metrology of laser beam
– Develop and implement process optimization plans, generate test reports and design documentation
– Interface with vendors as required to ensure successful development of manufacturing process to meet yield and cycle time requirements
– Develop data collection processes, define/develop database interfaces
– Develop manufacturing process documentation, implement proper revision control through engineering change orders and review processes
